Oversized Key Remote Programming Guide
SET-UP
Turn on your TV and follow the steps below to set up your remote.
Be sure to point the remote at your TV during setup.
- Step 1: Press the TV POWER key.
- Step 2: Press and hold SETUP until the LED blinks twice.
- Step 3: Using the digit keys on the remote, enter the code for your TV brand. You can find the correct code on Universal Electronic’s website or in the manufacturer guide.
- Step 4: Test the remote to confirm that it controls your TV as expected. If it does not, try again using the next code listed.
PLEASE NOTE:
The Oversized Key Remote can not control the DVR. In order to control your DVR you will need to use one of ValuNet FIBER’s other remote controls.

BRAND SEARCH
On the remote control perform the following:
If at any time during the setup process a mistake is made the process can be halted and the remote reverted to normal function by pressing and holding the Text/SHIFT button and pressing Stop at the same time.
- Determine the manufacturer of your TV set.
- Look up the 4-digit code under the manufacturer of your TV and make note of it.
- Turn on your TV.
- Press and hold the 1 and the 3 buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. The TV standby button should remain lit.
- Enter the 4-digit code from the manufacturer.
- Point the remote at the TV set, press and hold the TV Standby Button or Mute.
- When the TV turns off or mutes release the button. This may take some time.
- Press and hold the Text/SHIFT button then press Stop to finish the setup.
The following buttons on the Willow Remote should now work on your TV:
- TV Standby
- AV Source Select
- Volume Up
- Volume Down
- Mute
If any of the above buttons do not work with your TV, perform a Key Fix, described at the bottom of the page.
AUTO SEARCH
On the remote control perform the following:
This process can take a long time, occasionally up to 5 minutes.
- Turn on your TV.
- Press and hold the 1 and the 3 buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. The TV standby button should remain lit.
- Point the remote at the TV set, press and hold the TV Standby Button or Mute.
- When the TV turns off or mutes release the button. Again, this may take up to 5 minutes.
- Press and hold the Text/SHIFT button then press Stop to finish the setup.
The following buttons on the Willow Remote should now work on your TV:
- TV Standby
- AV Source Select
- Volume Up
- Volume Down
- Mute
If any of the above buttons do not work with your TV, perform a Key Fix, described below:
KEY FIX
- Press and hold the 1 and 9 buttons simultaneously for about 3 seconds until the TV Standby button is lit.
- Try all the above mentioned buttons.
- If the TV does not respond to a button, then hold that button down. The remote control will now step through alternative settings. When the TV responds correctly release that button.
- Repeat with the other buttons if necessary.
- One finished, press the Text/SHIFT and Stop buttons at the same time.

On the remote control perform the following:
Have TV powered on.
Press and release the TV button.
The next four steps need to be done in quick succession:
- Press and hold the SETUP until the TV button blinks twice.
- Enter in 9-9-1.
- Aim the remote at the TV and press and release the POWER button.
- Press and release the CH+ or CH –slowly until the TV shuts off. When you are pressing CH+ or CH-, you must do it slow enough to react when your TV shuts off.
- When the TV shuts off press the POWER button to turn the TV back on.
- Press the SETUP button to store the code for the TV. The TV button should blink twice to confirm it is programmed.
The remote is now ready to operate the TV!
