eBill Instructions
When you register for eBill the first time you will need to click on the “Not signed up yet” link.
From this link you will be required to input an Account Number and Security Code:
Account Number – 10 Digits beginning with 029700XXXX – This can obtained on your first invoice or by calling into customer service.
Security Code – 7 Digits beginning with 297 ending with last four digits of the main TN. If you are unsure please give us a call.

First Bill Explained
Your First ValuNet Invoice
When you look at your first ValuNet bill, you may notice it is higher than you expected. Don’t worry – it’s standard practice in the communications industry. It may just take a month or so to even out. Allow us to explain:
Local service fees are typically charged one month in advance no matter what carrier you select. That means your first ValuNet bill includes your local service fee and taxes for your next month of service. It also includes partial, prorated service fees, taxes, and usage charges for the month you switched to ValuNet, dating back to the day you started using our service.
Within the body of your Invoice the services are broken down individually. Above each service will be a line item showing the time-frame including number of days the services were billed.
Charges for 01/07/13-02/09/13 – 32 DAYS
So when you look at your first bill, remember that it covers more than a single month of service. In fact, depending on when you switched, it could cover up to seven weeks of service. You should be receiving a refund from your previous carrier for the amount you prepaid for local service with them. That refund offsets the higher charges on your first ValuNet bill.

Sparklight Customer Portal
With our recent transition to a new billing system, you now have access to our new online customer portal, which allows you to utilize our enhanced customer self-service tools, such as:
- Make one-time payments
- Enroll in Auto Pay
- Manage your payment method
- Reset your account password
Follow these easy steps to create your account:
1. Visit customer.sparklight.com
2. Click “NO ACCOUNT? REGISTER NOW”
3. If you have your new Sparklight account number, you can enter it on this page and skip ahead to step 6. If you do not know your new Sparklight account number, use the Account Lookup Tool link in the notification (this will open the Account Lookup Tool in a new window).
4. On the Account Lookup Tool page, enter your Current ValuNet Account Number and select ValuNet from the Current Brand Name drop-down menu, then click “Retrieve Account Number.”
5. When the Account Lookup Tool retrieves your new Sparklight account number, click “Start Registration.” This will open the registration page in a new window and automatically copy your new account number into the “Account Number” field.
6. Fill out the remaining fields on the Registration Page and click “REGISTER/RECLAIM USERNAME.”
Be sure to use the zip code associated with your service address and the primary phone number associated with your account. Note: If you have more than one phone number on your account and the primary number does not work, please try an alternative phone number.
Congratulations – you should now be able to log in with your new Sparklight username and password!
