BRAND SEARCH

On the remote control perform the following:

If at any time during the setup process a mistake is made the process can be halted and the remote reverted to normal function by pressing and holding the Text/SHIFT button and pressing Stop at the same time.

Determine the manufacturer of your TV set.
Look up the 4-digit code under the manufacturer of your TV and make note of it.
Turn on your TV.
Press and hold the 1 and the 3 buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. The TV standby button should remain lit.
Enter the 4-digit code from the manufacturer.
Point the remote at the TV set, press and hold the TV Standby Button or Mute.
When the TV turns off or mutes release the button. This may take some time.
Press and hold the Text/SHIFT button then press Stop to finish the setup.

The following buttons on the Willow Remote should now work on your TV:

TV Standby
AV Source Select
Volume Up
Volume Down
Mute

If any of the above buttons do not work with your TV, perform a Key Fix, described at the bottom of the page.

AUTO SEARCH

On the remote control perform the following:

This process can take a long time, occasionally up to 5 minutes.

Turn on your TV.
Press and hold the 1 and the 3 buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. The TV standby button should remain lit.
Point the remote at the TV set, press and hold the TV Standby Button or Mute.
When the TV turns off or mutes release the button. Again, this may take up to 5 minutes.
Press and hold the Text/SHIFT button then press Stop to finish the setup.

The following buttons on the Willow Remote should now work on your TV:

TV Standby
AV Source Select
Volume Up
Volume Down
Mute

If any of the above buttons do not work with your TV, perform a Key Fix, described below:

KEY FIX

Press and hold the 1 and 9 buttons simultaneously for about 3 seconds until the TV Standby button is lit.
Try all the above mentioned buttons.
If the TV does not respond to a button, then hold that button down. The remote control will now step through alternative settings. When the TV responds correctly release that button.
Repeat with the other buttons if necessary.
One finished, press the Text/SHIFT and Stop buttons at the same time.

How to record a series on your DVR

The three remotes that ValuNet FIBER provides to its customers all operate the same concerning the instruction below. The only difference is that the Willow Remote allows the user to access their recordings by pressing the DVR button.

Record a Series that You Are Watching Right Now

While watching the series you wish to record simply press the record button.
Verify that the correct show is selected by looking for the title in the upper left-hand corner of the recording screen.
Press the Right Arrow button to select the ‘Series’ option at the top of the screen.
If so desired, press the Down Arrow button to select individual options and use the Right and Left Arrow buttons to change the options.
After the desired options have been selected, if any, press the Up Arrow Button until the ‘Series’ Option at the top of the screen is selected again and press ‘OK’.

The DVR will start recording immediately.

Record a Series that Airs Later

Press Guide. Navigate through the guide using the arrow, page up and page down buttons to find the series you wish to record. Select the series by highlighting it and pressing the Record button.
Verify that the correct show is selected by looking for the title in the upper left-hand corner of the recording screen.
Press the Right Arrow button to select the ‘Series’ option at the top of the screen.
If so desired, press the Down Arrow button to select individual options and use the Right and Left Arrow buttons to change the options.
After the desired options have been selected, if any, press the Up Arrow Button until the ‘Series’ Option at the top of the screen is selected again and press ‘OK’.

Recording will start the next time an episode of that series airs.

Note: If you do not select ‘Series’ when setting up the recording at the beginning the DVR will only record one episode.

After you have determined which remote you have use the menu to navigate the that remote’s page for more instructions on how to set it up and use it.
